Well, Spring has finally sprung and the fish in the local commercial fisheries are definitely starting to come out of their Winter slumbers. The weather and temperatures are improving too, with the evenings getting longer. Happy days!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hampshire Match Fishing Venues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The match weights on popular local venues such as FLE fishery<\/a> at Ampfield, Dandys Ford fishery<\/a> at Sherfield English and Witherington Farm fishery at Salisbury are steadily improving and in the last couple of weeks, winning weights have already hit 100lb plus at FLE, and 90lb plus at Dandys and ‘Withy’ as the fish start to have a munch in preparation for spawning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the lakes start to colour up with the increased activity, fish are starting to be caught in the margins too, another sure sign that it’s time to get out bagging again! Depending on what you are targeting, and where, regular light feeding with maggots, caster, pellets or corn should see a response almost anywhere now.  Just be aware that as it is still cold at night, it might <\/g>
take<\/g> a while before the fish feed freely and after mid-day is likely to be more productive, so don’t give up until the final whistle blows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
