Trakker Tempest Brolly Advanced
Written By Jake
This is a new product for 2019 from trakker and like many I was very excited! The tempest advanced is a open front shelter with an erection time of about a minute I would say, making it idea for quick over nighters or when the heavens open and you need to get cover quick and Efficiently!
Information and why I like it!!
The tempest advance only weighing 12.5kg puts it in a league to non with the quality of the material it is provided with, like many I love the aquatiex material and how the water just slides straight off of it, I believe this is one of the best materials out there. The tempest advanced come with everything you need for fishing all year round, so you can use the full infill panel and groundsheet throughout the colder months when its required, or in the warmer months you can strip it right back and use it as an open front shelter, me personally liked to use it open front all year round due to having a warm enough sleep system to keep me warm, this also puts the brolly at its lightest weight due to having no front. I would also only use the quicksticks from tracker, which are provided when brought, if it was some really windy conditions but 9 times out of 10, it’ll be the brolly itself and 6 pegs and I’m good to go, traveling light is key to my fishing.
I used to use the Tempest Brolly, which was also a great bit of kit but the new Advanced version is definitely the more luxury one of the two. One of the newest feature of the new advanced is the 4 vents they have added to the back of the brolly creature as much air flow as possible when needed. The other added bonus is the fact of if its raining but still really warm and humid, you can peg the vents out so you still get airflow within the shelter\bivvy, but with the covers down so you don’t get any rain coming into your shelter.
In conclusion I really do think this is the best all round shelter on the market and I would highly recommend it to any customer I have the pleasure of serving.
